Council Member stoi t introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />• adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -55 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB <br />APPLICATION FOR A 1 TO 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE AND <br />APPLICATION TO CONDUCT OFF -SITE GAMBLING <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 340A, allows the city council to issue a. <br />temporary on -sale liquor license to a non - profit organization in connection with a social <br />event sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application for a temporary on- <br />sale liquor license; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has also submitted an application to conduct off - <br />site gambling at St. Joseph Catholic Church; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fees, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted a background investigation of the <br />applicant, and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the applications be <br />approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before submitting for approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for a temporary on -sale liquor <br />license and approval to conduct off -site gambling at St. Joseph Catholic Church on <br />September 26, 2009. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of August, 2009. <br />• <br />
