• Council Member Stoltz <br />moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution and <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -60 <br />Authorizing amendment to joint powers agreement with Vadnais Lake Area <br />Water Management Organization (VLAWMO) <br />Whereas, the City of Lino Lakes is a member of the Vadnais Lake Area Water <br />Management Organization (VLAWMO) and maintains a joint powers agreement <br />(JPA) to provide water management as required under MN Statutes, Chapters <br />103B and 103D; and <br />Whereas, all affected JPA municipalities have been consulted in the boundary <br />change process and have approved the new boundaries between adjoining <br />watersheds; and <br />Whereas, the attached map and legal description of VLAWMO have been <br />developed to reflect the updated boundaries of this watershed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the City Council authorizes amendment of the joint powers agreement with <br />the following amendment together with the attached updated legal description <br />and map of the VLAWMO watershed area: <br />Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement <br />Protect and Manage the Vadnais Lake Area Water Management <br />Organization <br />Said amendment is made and entered into as of the last date of execution by and <br />between the participating units of local government of the cities of Gem Lake, <br />Lino Lakes, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Lake and the <br />Township of White Bear. <br />The updated legal description and map of the VLAWMO jurisdiction dated May 6, <br />2009 are attached tot his resolution and hereby replace the previous legal <br />description and are incorporated as Appendix A of the VLAWMO joint powers <br />agreement. <br />
