• Council Member Gallup introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 09 -79 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $336,645 GRANT FROM THE OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS FOR SUPPORT OF THE TRANSITION TO INTELLIGENCE LED POLICING; WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Police Department utilizes a Problem Oriented Policing philosophy in its approach to achieving the goals of crime reduction and quality of life improvement; and WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Police Department continues to build on this success by transitioning to Intelligence Led Policing to better utilize our resources towards these goals; WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Police Department applied for and was awarded a Recovery Act Justice Assistance Grant of $336,645 from the Office of Justice Programs in non - supplanting funds to continue this transition; • WHEREAS, The grant funds one officer from 10/1/2009 — 9/30/2011 and a second officer from 1/1/2010 — 12/31 /2011; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do hereby accept the grant of $336,645. o , n B geson, Mayor Julie = artell, ity Clerk Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of September 2009.
