• <br />Reinert <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -86 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BYLAWS OF <br />MINNESOTA METRO NORTH TOURISM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has enacted a tax on lodging within the City to fund a <br />convention and visitors bureau in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 469.190. <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Metro North Tourism (The Bureau) has the staff ,facility and <br />experience to carry out the objectives of promoting the City as a tourist and convention <br />center. <br />WHEREAS, the general purposes of the Bureau are to promote and market tourism <br />within the northern metro cities metropolitan region. <br />WHEREAS, the Bureau has established Bylaws to outline the purpose, internal <br />structure, voting and meeting provisions and procedures. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />The Bylaws of Minnesota Metro North Tourism are approved. <br />Juli.- nne Bartell, Ci r Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of October, 2009. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />MembeP ' Donnelgind upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Reinert, O'Donnell, Stoltz, Gallup, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
