Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09 -20 <br />RESOLUTION to Consider approving cost share in Reshanau Lake water <br />quality efforts <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes owns approximately 1600 feet of shoreline on <br />Reshanau Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, Reshanau lake is listed with the State of Minnesota as an <br />impaired lake water, <br />AND WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes is a listed Municipal Separate Stormwater <br />Sewer System (MS4) having responsibility to improve the quality of Reshanau <br />Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, The Rice Creek Watershed District has written a plan to improve <br />lake water quality with an initial effort focus on invasive weed control <br />AND WHEREAS, Property owners, The Rice Creek Watershed District and the <br />City of Lino Lakes desire to cost share water quality improvement efforts to <br />Reshanau Lake, <br />AND WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Environmental Board reviewed the Reshanau <br />Lake Water Quality restoration on July 31st of 2008, and recommended the City <br />contribute a fair share of Surface Water Management monies to control Curly -Leaf <br />Pondweed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />That the City of Lino Lakes contribute $1,600 of Surface Water Management <br />monies in the spring of 2009 to control Curly -leaf Pondweed in Reshanau Lake. <br />Berg son, ayor <br />u iann Bartell, City Jerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of April , 20G 9. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member Gallup and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: <br />Stoltz, Gallup, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson <br />
