Council MemberReinertintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 09-44 <br />AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR A HORSESHOE <br />TOURNMENT AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 ON JULY 25, 2009 <br />WHEREAS, the manager of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application <br />for a 1 to 4 day temporary liquor license in conjunction with an event planned for July <br />25, 2009, and <br />WHEREAS, the event planned is a horseshoe tournament to be held on the Legion's <br />property between the hours of 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.; <br />WHEREAS, as part of the event the Legion would like to allow consumption of <br />alcoholic beverages in a fenced area outside of but contiguous to their building; <br />WHEREAS, the Legion has indicated that all beverages will be served inside the <br />building and patrons or members attending the event will receive a proper <br />identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability and liquor liability insurance has been submitted <br />by the Post; <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires that this type of <br />temporary liquor application be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council <br />before submitting for approval to the Liquor Control Board. <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council grants local approval of a 1 -4 day temporary liquor license to <br />American Legion Post 566 for a special event on July 25, 2009. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13TH day of July, <br />2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />nne Bartell, 4 ity erk <br />John Ber•eson, Mayor <br />
