Studenski, City Engineer January 25, 2010 Resolution No. 10 -02, Authorizing Improvements and Preparation of Plans and Specifications, Pine Street Paving Improvements. Simple Majority The feasibility report for this paving improvement project was prepared in coordination with the City of Columbus. The estimated improvement project costs to pave Pine Street from Lake Drive to 4th Avenue are $398,500. The project will be 100% assessed to the benefiting properties. A Public Hearing was held for the Pine Street Paving Improvements on October 26, 2009. Before any further action could be taken on the proposed project as required by the City Charter 60 days was required to elapse following the Public Hearing that date was December 25, 2009. The public hearing was initiated by a resident petition to research the costs of paving Pine Street. The City of Columbus has held their public hearing and ordered the paving improvements for Pine Street. The tentative schedule for this project is as follows: Approve Plans /Specifications and Authorize Ad for Bids Bid Opening Assessment Hearing and Award of Contract for Improvements Begin Construction Complete Construction March 22, 2010 May 5, 2010 May 24, 2010 Summer 2010 Fall 2010 RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving Resolution Number 10 -02, Authorizing Improvements and Preparation of Plans and Specifications, Pine Street Paving Improvements.
