Council Member O' Donnell <br />• moved its adoption: <br />introduced the following resolution and <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -20 <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR HIGH SPEED BROADBAND <br />CONNECTIVITY <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County has embarked on a project to determine the <br />interest in and needs for high speed broadband connectivity in Anoka County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, there are increasing educational, economic, and community <br />benefits to increased high speed connectivity: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City of Lino Lakes supports <br />the effort of Anoka county to develop a broadband vision and solicit public /private <br />partnerships through a Request for Proposals process. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the City of Lino Lakes supports submission <br />of a federal grant to secure funding to implement the broadband vision. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes recognizes that <br />broadband through optical fiber will be a Tong -term benefit to all citizens. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Li • _ - t ' _ : th day of <br />March 2010 <br />eff Rei e ' , ayor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member <br />Roesend upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />O'Donnell, Roeser, Rafferty, Gallup, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
