• <br />• <br />Council Member oe er" introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -27 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, 2010 STREET OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of 2010 Street Overlay <br />Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Rum River Contracting <br />GMH Asphalt Corp. <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />Knife River Corp. <br />Valley Paving <br />Northwest Asphalt <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />Hardrives Inc. <br />Asphalt Surface Tech <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />Amount of Bid <br />$ 206,446.60 <br />$ 222,817.05 <br />$ 225,638.10 <br />$ 226,418.98 <br />$ 229,001.00 <br />$ 233,791.35 <br />$ 242,172.88 <br />$ 268,781.00 <br />$ 335,336.00 <br />$ 255,185.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Rum River Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Rum <br />River Contracting, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2010 <br />Street Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council <br />and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next two <br />lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />
