Studenski, City Engineer April 12, 2010 Resolution No. 10 -29, Approving Plans and Specification and Authorizing Ad for Bids, Pine Street, Zodiac Street and Howard Lake Drive Paving Improvements. Simple Majority The feasibility report for this paving improvement project was prepared in coordination with the City of Columbus. The estimated improvement project costs to pave Pine Street from Lake Drive to 4th Avenue are $398,500. The costs to pave Pine Street will be split as a 50% - 50% cost share with the City of Columbus. The project will be 100% assessed to the benefiting properties. Attached is the location map for the project. A Public Hearing was held for the Pine Street Paving Improvements on October 26, 2009. Before any further action could be taken on the proposed project as required by the City Charter 60 days was required to elapse following the Public Hearing, that date was December 25, 2009. The Public Hearing was initiated by a resident petition to research the costs of paving Pine Street. The City of Columbus will be approving plans and specifications and authorizing ad for bids at their upcoming City Council meeting. The tentative schedule for this project is as follows: Bid Opening Assessment Hearing and Award of Contract for Improvements City of Columbus Award Contract for Improvements Begin Construction Complete Construction May 13, 2010 May 24, 2010 May 26, 2010 Summer 2010 Fall 2010 RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving Resolution Number 10 -29, Approving Plans and Specification and Authorizing Ad for Bids, Pine Street, Zodiac Street and Howard Lake Drive Paving Improvements.
