• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jean Viger, Deputy Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: August 11, 2008 <br />TOPIC: Resolution 08 -73, Election Judge Approval <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Attached is a list of Minnesota residents who will be trained to serve as Lino <br />Lakes Election Judges for the 2008 Primary Election on Tuesday, September 9th <br />and /or the General Election on Tuesday, November 4th. After City Council <br />approval, I will select my election judges from this list and determine in which <br />precinct each judge will work. <br />Every two years Anoka County Office of Elections and Registration conducts <br />training sessions in a manner provided by the Secretary of State. This year the <br />training sessions are scheduled for September 3rd and September 4th at Lino <br />Lakes City Hall. Anyone not able to attend our scheduled training sessions will <br />be sent to a different location for training. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 08 -73, accepting the attached list of prospective election <br />judges. <br />2. Reject list <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 08 -73 <br />
