Council Membero' Donnellintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08 -76 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE LINO LAKES LIONS FOR THE <br />SENIOR SAFETY FAIR. <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department organized a Safety Fair for senior <br />citizens to educate them on personal safety, fire safety, preventing falls, <br />and other safety topics; and <br />WHEREAS, the Senior Safety Fair took place in May and over 70 senior citizens from <br />the community participated in the day long event which included <br />presentations from police officers, firefighters, and personal trainers, <br />lunch, and breakout sessions on topics such as internet safety, 911 <br />emergency cells phones, personal safety, and more; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions donated $250.00 to assist with purchasing safety <br />materials which were distributed to the senior citizens and other items <br />needed to conduct the Senior Safety Fair; and <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following <br />manner: <br />Increase Revenue — Contributions 101 - 3720 -000 $250.00 <br />Increase Police Expenditure <br />(101 -420- 4214 -000 Crime Prevention) <br />$250.00 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do <br />hereby accept the donation of $250.00 and wishes to express its gratitude to the Lino <br />Lakes Lions for the donation to the Senior Safety Fair. <br />ie Bartel , City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of July, 2008. <br />o 'n B -,r: eso ", Mayor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Reinert and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />O'Donnell, Reinert, Stoltz, Gallup, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
