evv .kL 'L AA o Cs/1I fv Council MemberGallup introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 08 -82 APPROVING STATEMENT OF CONCURRENCE Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization /Rice Creek Watershed District Boundary Adjustment WHEREAS, a watershed is defined under Minnesota Statues section 103205 as a drainage area having boundaries which are substantially coterminous with those of an aggregation of contiguous minor watershed units possessing similar drainage patterns and which cross the borders of two or more local government units; and WHEREAS, The VLAWMO is established and authorized under Minnesota Statutes 103D and is a watershed management organization as defined under Minnesota Statutes section 103B.205; and WHEREAS, On May 13, 2008 the Board of Directors of the VLAWMO voted unanimously to amend the boundary of the VLAWMO district with the Rice Creek Watershed District using the process described in M.S. 103B.215; and • WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S. 103B.215, a Statement of Concurrence from the affected municipality is required; and • WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the proposed boundary adjustments and finds that said adjustments achieve a more accurate alignment between the hydrologic and legal boundaries for the two watershed management organizations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1.
