• <br />Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08 -138 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $1,000 DONATION FROM TARGET FOR CONTINUED <br />SUPPORT OF THE DOMESTIC ABUSE RESPONSE TEAM <br />WHEREAS, Target is aware that the Lino Lakes Police Department operates under the <br />Community Oriented Policing Philosophy. As part of this philosophy, the department <br />continually looks for ways to connect with the community and strengthen the partnership <br />between the police and community. The Lino Lakes Police Department responds to <br />incidents of domestic abuse and is committed to ensuring that services are provided to <br />the victims of this crime that will lead to a lasting solution for those involved; and <br />WHEREAS, Target supports the efforts of strengthening our community and families. <br />The donation of $1,000 will be beneficial in identifying victims caught in the cycle of <br />family violence and help them get the services they need to break this cycle. The <br />ultimate goal will be the prevention of family violence in our community; and <br />WHEREAS, Target has donated $1,000 to the city in their support of this outreach <br />program in this community; and <br />WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following <br />manner: <br />Increase Revenue — Contributions 101 - 3720 -000 $1,000.00 <br />Increase Police Expenditure $1,000.00 <br />(101 - 420 -4214 -000 Crime Prevention) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do <br />hereby accept the donation of $1,000.00 and wishe o express its gratitude to Target <br />for the donation. <br />•"'n :f jes'* , Mayor <br />Juli - Bartel City Jerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of November, 2008. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />MembecYDonnell and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Reinert, O'Donnell, Stoltz, Gallup, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
