• <br />Council Member Roeser introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -07 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />BIRCH STREET/WARE ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the intersection of Birch Street and Ware Road is currently experiencing <br />growing congestion and safety problems; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the City and its <br />residents that the City construct improvements to the intersection of Birch Street and Ware <br />Road including installation of traffic signals, widening, median placement and resurfacing; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, City residents approved a ballot question in the November 2010 general <br />election authorizing the issuance of General Obligation Bonds to finance said <br />improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />The City Engineer, TKDA, is designated as the engineer for this improve - t and is <br />directed to prepare plans and specifications for the making of <br />Jeff Re' e , Mayor <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 9-4+L day of cLv� ,, , 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />u i. ne Bartell, C)ty Cler <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member O' Donnell and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Roeser, O'Donnell, Rafferty, Gallup, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />
