• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />AGENDA ITEM 3C <br />Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />February 28, 2011 <br />Consider Resolution 11 -22, Approving <br />Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor and Tobacco <br />License KLVZ Corporation (Eagle Liquor) <br />Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) <br />The former Eagle Liquor and Tobacco located at 730 Apollo Drive is being proposed to <br />re -open. An application for an off -sale liquor license and tobacco sales license has <br />been submitted by KLVZ Corporation. The applications are complete, the related fees <br />have been paid and insurance information has been provided to the City as required. In <br />addition, the Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted the required background <br />investigation on the applicant and reports no information that would prevent issuance of <br />a liquor license. <br />In accordance with the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, Section 701 relating to Liquor <br />Licensing, the application requires approval by the City Council. The code also requires <br />that opportunity shall be given to any person to be heard for or against the granting of <br />the license. The council may then, in its discretion, grant or refuse the application. The <br />applicant, Mr. Stanislav Sidorenko, will be present at the council meeting. <br />If local approval is granted, the application for an off -sale license will be forwarded to <br />the Minnesota Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division for review. <br />The applicant is aware that approval is subject to all the provisions and conditions of the <br />laws of the city, state and federal government. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1.
