• <br />• <br />Council MemberRoeser introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -44 <br />AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR A SPECIAL <br />EVENT AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 ON APRIL 22, 23 AND 24, 2011 <br />WHEREAS, the manager of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application <br />for a 1 to 4 day temporary liquor license in conjunction with an event planned for April <br />22, 23 and 24, 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, the event planned is a benefit party to support improvements to the <br />American Legion property and would be held on the Legion's property between the <br />hours of 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on those dates; and <br />WHEREAS, as part of the event the Legion would like to allow the consumption of <br />alcoholic beverages in a fenced area outside of but contiguous to their building; and <br />WHEREAS, the Legion has indicated that all beverages will be served inside the <br />building and patrons or members attending the event will receive a proper <br />identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br />WHEREAS, proof of general liability and liquor liability insurance has been submitted <br />by the Post; and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires that this type of <br />temporary liquor application be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council <br />before submission to the Liquor Control Board. <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council grants local approval for a 1 -4 day temporary liquor license to <br />American Legion Post 566 for a special event on April 22, 23 and 24, 2011. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this th . ay of April, <br />2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />nne Bartell, City ler <br />inert, Mayor <br />
