Council Member Roeser <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2011 -88 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A ONE -TIME <br />EMPLOYEE SEVERANCE PACKAGE FOR 2011 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will be considering staff reductions in 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to assist affected employees through the <br />transition as they seek future employment; and <br />WHEREAS, to help ease the burden as they move through this process, financial <br />assistance be provided to employees whose positions are eliminated. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes hereby authorizes a severance package of 12 weeks pay in addition to an <br />employee's regular benefits upon leaving City employment per state law, City policy or <br />union contract. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, this 12th day of <br />September, 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />u artell, Cit <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resoution was <br />duly seconded by Council Member Gallup and upon a vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Roeser, Gallup, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: none <br />Whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
