• <br />Council Member Rafferty introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -98 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING WITH <br />THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE FOR 35E /CSAH 14 INTERCHANGE PARK AND RIDE <br />WHEREAS, Metro Transit is considering the construction of a Park and Ride, to service <br />area commuters, in the Northwest Quadrant of 35E and County State Aid Highway 14 <br />(CSAH 14) and <br />WHEREAS, public street and utility improvements, straddling the border with Centerville, <br />are required to service said facility; and <br />WHEREAS, property owners abutting the proposed improvement have requested <br />preliminary engineering be completed to provide a conceptual design and cost estimates; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the preliminary engineering is proposed to be paid by abutting property <br />owners <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Letter of Understanding with the City of <br />Centerville regarding the possible extension of 21st Avenue, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that staff is authorized to execute a deposit agreement <br />with the property owners to cover the cost of said engineering study. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26th da = eptember, 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />Jul - nne Bartell, ity <br />Jeff Reine <br />2 <br />
