• <br />Council Member Rafferty introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -103 <br />APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES <br />FOR NOVEMBER 8, 2011 MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council met at its regularly scheduled meeting of October 10, <br />2011; and <br />WHEREAS, a Municipal Election will be held on November 8, 2011; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.20, election judges shall be appointed to serve in an <br />election precinct and the appointing authority shall designate one of the judges to serve <br />as the head election judge; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.21, a list of trained certified judges was prepared <br />from lists of eligible voters provided by the major political parties and from previous <br />rosters; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 204B.21, subd. 2, requires appointments be made at least 25 days <br />before the election at which the election judges will serve. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the named persons on the attached list of certified <br />eligible voters are hereby appointed to serve as election judges and head election judges for the 2011 <br />Municipal Election if called upon to do so. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of October, 2011. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member R ne G P r and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Roeser, O'Donnell, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none (Absent - Gallup) <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopte <br />ATTEST: <br />Jeff Rein <br />
