• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jean Viger, Deputy Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: November 28, 2005 <br />TOPIC: Resolution 05 -146, Approving Application to <br />Conduct Lawful Gambling, Ladies Auxiliary <br />VFW Post 6583 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6583 is in the process of renewing its gambling license <br />and its lease to conduct lawful gambling at 7868 Lake Drive. A legislative change does <br />not require the City Council's signature acknowledging receipt of the application; <br />however, does require a resolution of approval for lawful gambling on the premises from <br />the Lino Lakes City Council. <br />• The Lino Lakes Police Department performed the background investigations and found <br />no reason to deny the approval of the resolution. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1.
