• • CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 05 -147 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS, WELL NO. 5 PUMPHOUSE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Council adopting the Comprehensive Water System Plan on April 26, 2004, with reference to the first phases of improvement by constructing Well No. 5; and WHEREAS, the report provides information showing the proposed project is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible; and WHEARAS, the Council authorized plans and specifications for Well No. 5 Pumphouse March 28, 2005; and WHEREAS, the City's Engineer, TKDA, shall perform such services; and WHEREAS, the City proposes to use Trunk Area & Unit funds for all of the cost of the improvements, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk, at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Council, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid.
