• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05 -147 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS, WELL NO. 5 PUMPHOUSE. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Council adopting the Comprehensive Water System Plan <br />on April 26, 2004, with reference to the first phases of improvement by constructing Well <br />No. 5; and <br />WHEREAS, the report provides information showing the proposed project is necessary, <br />cost - effective, and feasible; and <br />WHEARAS, the Council authorized plans and specifications for Well No. 5 Pumphouse <br />March 28, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Engineer, TKDA, shall perform such services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to use Trunk Area & Unit funds for all of the cost of the <br />improvements, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made part <br />hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2. The City clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement <br />under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be <br />published for 3 weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be <br />received by the Clerk, at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by <br />the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the <br />Council, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address <br />the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed <br />and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid <br />bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five (5) percent of the amount of <br />such bid. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 26th day of September, 2005. <br />Jean Vie Deputy Clerk <br />Jo J.
