STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />AGENDA ITEM 1D <br />Michael Grochala <br />September 26, 2005 <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 05 -149 <br />Approving Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka <br />County for the Final Design - Lake Drive /I35W <br />Interchange <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />On July 25, 2005 the City Council authorized final design of the CSAH 23/I -35W <br />Interchange (Resolution No. 05 -107) with the understanding that Anoka County would <br />fund up to 50% of the project cost. The estimated cost of the design as proposed by <br />SEH Inc., the City's consulting engineering is $575,480. Anoka County share of the <br />design work is $287,740. <br />City staff received the Final Design Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) from Anoka County <br />on Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Anoka County has approved the JPA for execution. <br />Both City staff and the City Attorney have reviewed the document and are requesting <br />council approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of the JPA with Anoka County. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
