AGENDA ITEM 4A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR David J Pecchia, Public Safety <br />Director /Chief of Police <br />DATE December 12, 2005 <br />TOPIC <br />Consideration to Approve Resolution No. <br />05 -191 allowing the Lino Lakes Police <br />Department to participate in the Safe <br />and Sober project <br />VOTED REQUIRED Simple Majority <br />I I <br />1BACKGROUND <br />I I <br />The Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic <br />Safety has once again awarded a grant for the Anoka County <br />law enforcement agencies to participate in their Safe and <br />Sober project for the period of October 1, 2005 through <br />September 30, 2006. The Anoka County Sheriff's Department <br />was designated to execute such agreements and amendments as <br />are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Lino <br />Lakes Police Department. <br />Resolution #05 -191 allows the City of Lino Lakes to promote <br />the Safe & Sober Communities initiative. <br />I I <br />OPTIONS <br />I I <br />1.
