•
AGENDA ITEM 6B
STAFF ORIGINATOR: Marty Asleson
MEETING DATE: January 23, 2006
TOPIC: Anoka County Agreement For Residential Recycling
Program /2006
BACKGROUND: The City of Lino Lakes receives SCORE funds each year
from Anoka County. The SCORE funds are used to fund solid waste recycling
programs. Cities using SCORE funds allocated by Anoka County are required to
enter into a cooperative agreement with the County. The 2006 SCORE
allocation of money is based on $4.70 per household or $32,827.90 for the City
of Lino Lakes.
Please find attached copies of the original agreement for your consideration.
The Anoka County Agreements are based on the following:
• The abatement goal will remain constant at 175 pounds per person
per year.
• Anoka County has received the fall SCORE payment and is expecting
to receive a spring SCORE payment. The proposed 2006 municipal
funding of cities ($32,827.90 for Lino Lakes) includes the additional
payment. If the second payment is not received the funding allocation
will be reduced.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Anoka County Contract #2005 -0300, Agreement For Residential
Recycling Program.
2. Refer back to staff for further review.
RECOMMENDATION:
Option 1.
•
