Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -17, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids, Legacy at Woods Edge Phase II Streetscaping Improvements ii. Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -18, Approving Plans and Specifications and Authorizing Advertisement for Bids, Legacy at Woods Edge Phase III Street Lighting Improvements Simple Majority • The City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the Legacy at Woods Edge public improvements on October 25, 2004 (Resolution No. 04 -164). The first phase contract awarded in August of 2005 included the street and utility portions of the development. The second and third phases include the installation of streetscaping, including the community green, and street lighting respectively. • Plans for Phase II and Phase III where prepared by SEH Inc., the city's consulting engineer for the project, and are substantially complete. Staff is requesting council action to approve the plans and authorize advertisement for bids. The project schedule is as follows: February 13, 2006 March 16, 2006 March 27, 2006 Fall, 2006 Approve Plans and Authorize Advertisement for Bids Open Bids Consider Award of Contract Substantial Completion of Construction Funding for the project is provided by the issuance of G.O. Improvement Bonds repaid by special assessments to the Legacy at Woods Edge development and park dedication fees generated by the development.
