Consideration of Resolution No. 06 -20 <br />Supporting Main Street (CSAH 14)/35E <br />Interchange HPP Application <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City has been informed that Congress is accepting applications for High Priority <br />Projects (HPP) for consideration in the 2007 federal fiscal year appropriation bill. Anoka <br />County is working to complete applications for federal funding specific to the <br />construction of the I -35W /Lake Drive and I -35E /Main Street Interchanges. <br />HPP funding provides a unique opportunity to expedite improvements to both <br />interchanges. Anoka County and the City have previously been successful in obtaining <br />funding through this process for the I -35E interchange. <br />Support from local units of governments for the proposed improvements is extremely <br />important in the application review process. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 06 -19 and No. 06 -20 <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
