Council Member _I.srn_ introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -56 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, LOIS LANE UTILITY EXTENSION <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the council on December 12, 2005, <br />TKDA has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of Lois Lane from <br />270 feet west of Country Lane to 320 feet west of Meadow View Trail by extending <br />utilities and replacing the bituminous surface and has presented such plans and <br />specifications to the council for approval, <br />AND WHEREAS, it is proposed to finance the project with special assessments and to <br />have the deferred future lot assessments be paid with the Trunk Area and Unit Fund <br />until those lots are created; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file at City Hall, are hereby approved. <br />2. The City clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under <br />such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks, <br />shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk, at which <br />time they will be publicly opened in the City Hall by the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be <br />tabulated, and will be considered by the Council at 6:30 p.m. on June 26, 2006, in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the <br />Clerk for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br />n e Bartell, ty lerk <br />Jo n Bergeson, Mayor <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of April, 2006. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member 1n&L,t and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: na t.l5vy) I e ?mot, S- Fvltz, ,Maym ,lso& <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
