• <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member Te . introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -57 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FUNDING FOR <br />VOICE OVER IP TELEPHONE SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes was recently notified by the Centennial <br />School District that they will no longer be able to provide telephone service to the <br />civic complex effective July 15, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending that the city convert to a Voice -Over IP <br />system to provide telephone service at the civic complex and public works <br />facility; and <br />WHEREAS, The estimated project cost is $40,000. This includes telephones, <br />software, licenses, enhanced 911 services, and installation. The city of Roseville <br />MIS Department will be providing the technical oversight to ensure a smooth <br />transition. A contingency fund of $10,000 should be provided in case of any <br />unforeseen problems that are encountered. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA. <br />1) That city staff implement the voice over IP telephone system at the police <br />department, city hall, and public works building. Funding for the project <br />will be designated from the Capital Projects Fund and will not exceed <br />$50,000 (including $10,000 contingency). <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th <br />u is e Bartell, City Jerk <br />of April, 2006. <br />ohn Bergeson, Mayor <br />
