Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 06 -102 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - 2006 BIRCH STREET TRAIL PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Lois Lane Utility Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Amount of Bid TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. $ 149,045.00 North Valley Inc. $ 160,215.10 Midwest Asphalt Corp. $ 173,287.60 Hardrives Inc. $ 187,685.50 W B Miller Inc. $ 192,834.50 Forest Lake Cont. Inc. $ 223,625.00 Engineer's Estimate $ 139,390.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with TA Schifsky & Sons Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2006 Birch Street Trail Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2.
