Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -102 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT - 2006 BIRCH STREET TRAIL PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Lois Lane <br />Utility Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and <br />the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. $ 149,045.00 <br />North Valley Inc. $ 160,215.10 <br />Midwest Asphalt Corp. $ 173,287.60 <br />Hardrives Inc. $ 187,685.50 <br />W B Miller Inc. $ 192,834.50 <br />Forest Lake Cont. Inc. $ 223,625.00 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 139,390.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with TA Schifsky & Sons Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the <br />construction of the 2006 Birch Street Trail Project according to the plans and <br />specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
