• <br />• <br />Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06-144 <br />RESOLUTION SETTING DATES FOR THE TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARINGS FOR THE <br />PROPOSED 2007 OPERATING BUDGET AND 2006 TAX LEVY COLLECTIBLE IN 2007 <br />WHEREAS, governmental entities are required to hold Truth in Taxation hearings to <br />receive public input on the proposed operating budget and tax levy; and, <br />WHEREAS, cities may not hold their hearings on the same dates as Counties and <br />School Districts; and, <br />WHEREAS, the first two Mondays in December have been set aside exclusively for <br />cities to hold their Truth in Taxation Hearings; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes wishes to set their Truth in Taxation <br />Hearings on these exclusive dates. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota, that: <br />1. The initial Truth in Taxation hearing date is hereby set for Monday, December 11, <br />2006, at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. A continuation hearing, if needed, is scheduled for Monday, December 18, 2006 at <br />6:00 p.m. with final adoption of the 2006 -2007 tax levy and 2007 general operating <br />budget immediately following the continuation hearing on December 18, 2006. <br />ne Bartell, Ci C� <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of September, 2006. <br />rgeson, Mayor <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Memberp'D0nnel land upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Stoltz, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson, Carlson <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />-44h- <br />
