• <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -150 <br />APPROVING APPLICATION FOR EXEMPT LAWFUL GAMBLING PERMIT <br />TO CONDUCT RAFFLE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statutes, Section 349 requires non - profit <br />organizations to be licensed by the Gambling Control Board, and <br />WHEREAS, the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation has submitted an application to <br />hold a raffle at the Circle Lex VFW at 7868 Lake Drive as part of their 1St Annual <br />Cystic Fibrosis Raffle Rally Ride on September 30, 2006, and <br />WHEREAS, the CF Foundation has met the requirements and is eligible to <br />conduct gambling in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino <br />Lakes approve or deny this application by resolution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the off -site gambling activities of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to be <br />held at the Circle Lex VFW on September 30, 2006. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of September, 2006 <br />ATTEST: <br />is ne Bartell, Ci y C er`k� <br />..44/1" / <br />Joh <br />ergeson, Mayor <br />
