• Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -161 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST FOR PAYMENT FROM THE MUNCIPAL <br />TURNBACK ACCOUNT (FORMER TRUNK HIGHWAY 49) <br />WHEREAS, a portion of State Trunk Highway 49 (4th Avenue from Lilac to the entrance <br />of the Minnesota Correctional Facility) was turned back to the City of Lino Lakes in <br />1996; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is eligible to receive a cash payment in lieu of reconstructing the <br />portion of roadway at this time, and <br />WHEREAS, this segment of 4th Avenue is listed within the "Good" Category (Highest <br />Category) of the City's Pavement Management Program. Based on the roadway <br />condition rating there is no need to reconstruct 4th Avenue within the next five years, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, these funds are for use by the City on the state aid system. The City has <br />several higher priority State Aid street needs where these funds can be used. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Hereby approves the request for payment from the Municipal Turnback Account for <br />former Trunk Highway 49 in the amount of $955,404.00, and <br />2.
