• <br />Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 - 215 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ANOKA COUNTY MULTI - JURISDICTIONAL <br />HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has ordained that every county and incorporated <br />municipality in the state is required to have a Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />approved by the Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and <br />Emergency Management, to maintain eligibility for state disaster assistance <br />after November 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) under the <br />Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 has ordained that every county and <br />incorporated municipality within the county is required to have a Hazard <br />Mitigation Plan approved by FEMA in order to be eligible for Hazard <br />Mitigation Grant Program Funding for Presidential disasters declared after <br />November 2004; and <br />411 <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />under the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency (FEMA) has issued an Interim Final Rule that details <br />the minimum criteria for local hazard mitigation plans; and <br />the City of Lino Lakes agrees with the concept of and necessity for hazard <br />mitigation planning; and <br />The Anoka County Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee recommends the <br />adoption of the Anoka County Multi - Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />and; <br />the Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and Emergency <br />Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency have <br />conducted a review of and approved the Anoka County Multi- Jurisdictional <br />Hazard Mitigation Plan; <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners formally adopted the Anoka <br />County Multi- Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan on November 28, 2006; <br />NOW THEREFORE, we, the City of Lino Lakes City Council, hereby adopt the Anoka <br />County Multi- Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan as submitted this 18m day of December, <br />2006. <br />Juli Bartell, ity Ierk <br />
