• <br />CITY OF <br />OOUNPY OF <br />STATE OF MIlI <br />No 4-5 I,/ <br />MOTION by Councilman a i5 t,-, <br />to adopt the following: <br />A RESOLUTION ACCp','LNG REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A CABLE COMMUNICATION S ,, <br />FCR THE CITY OF cti MINNESOTA. <br />SAS, the City of 1 1,--ioLi-4" has participated in the <br />Cc Cable Commission (Commission); and <br />.A/0 t Ce bur'Ci <br />WEBS, the Commission was delegated the responsibility to prepare <br />and adopt and did prepare and adopt a Request for Proposals (RFP) and a prelimi- <br />nary draft franchise ordinance for a cable communications system for the City of <br />4. ,l`i a ic,oe --4-- and; <br />WHEREAS, the City is the franchising authority; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 4.140 (D) (1) of the Official Rules of the Minnesota <br />Cable Communications Board requires that the franchising authority shall adopt <br />in a public hearing the Request for Proposals; and <br />'WHEREAS, notice of said public hearik. was published in the official <br />newspaper of the City of//5;04‘,./e. on the 0' day of , f ,V , 1982; and <br />WHEREAS, members of the public have been afforded a reasonable oppor- <br />tunity to be heard. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City ofA07eZeks <br />as follows: <br />1. The City of L,i adopts the RFP and receives <br />the preliminary draft of the franchise ordinance. <br />2. The RFP accompanied by a draft of the preliminary franchise shall <br />be issued by the Commission on behalf of the City of <br />on or before June 15, 1982, and shall be on file in the Clerk's <br />Office of the City of <br />3. The City of .rnc) L €s hereby delegates to the Commission the <br />responsibility to perform on behalf of the City all tasks <br />incident to the issuance of the RFP as required by the Official <br />Rules of the Minnesota Cable Communications Board. <br />
