• <br />• <br />• <br />RESOLUTION No. 82 -20 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes recognizes a concern for <br />the safety of the Children walking from Lino Elementary School along <br />the right -of -ways of County Road 14 and County Road 23, and <br />WHEREAS, maintenance and upgrading of said roads is under the <br />jurisdiction of Anoka County Board of Commissioners, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes desires to work jointly <br />with Independent School District 831 in requesting the following <br />improvements, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes requests <br />the following improvements be considered by the Anoka County Board <br />of Commissioners: <br />1) Extension of reduced speed limit on County Road 14 beginning <br />in front of the school as it is presently East to James Street. <br />Also Reduced Speed limit on County Road 23 from James Street <br />North to 81st Avenue. <br />2) Installation of a semiphore at the intersection of County <br />Road 14 and County Road 23 concurrent with construction at <br />that intersection. <br />3) Improvement of shoulders along County Road 14 from the <br />intersection East to James Street. <br />4) Warning signs in the areas the children are walking. <br />Passed by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 7 day of <br />, 1982. <br />ATTEST: <br />Edna L.
