• <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85 -1 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE <br />CONTROL DATA BUSINESS ADVISORS, INC. JOINT <br />COMPERABLE WORTH STUDY. <br />WHEREAS: Minnesota Statutes 471.991 enacted in 1984 requires all <br />political subdivisions in the State to establish equitable <br />compensation relationships among its employees; and <br />WHEREAS: The Metropolitan Area Management Association, the Coalition <br />of Outstate Cities, the Minnesota Municipal Utilities <br />Association and other related public jurisdictions desire to <br />meet the requirements of the law through a joint job <br />evaluation study; and <br />WHEREAS: The Metropolitan Area Management Association in consultation <br />with representatives of outstate cities and after meeting <br />and confering with representatives of organized labor <br />screened and selected Control Data Business Advisors, Inc. <br />as the consultant to perform the study; and <br />WHEREAS: The cost of the study As to be divided among the <br />participating jurisdictions in the following manner: Each <br />entity will pay a base charge of Three Thousand Dollars <br />($3,000.00) and charge per employee of Thirty -five Dollars <br />($35.00) per person. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Lino <br />Lakes that it hereby approves participation of the City in the <br />Joint Comparable Worth Study to be conducted by Control Data <br />Business Advisors, Inc. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $3,455.00 based on the <br />above specified formula be transmitted to the City of Golden Valley <br />Minnesota which city has offered to serve as the fiscal agent and <br />contractor for the duration of the study. <br />Dated this %1 Day of <br />Marilyn G.
