AN ACT <br />IP <br />1 <br />H.F. No. 1197 <br />CHAPTER No. <br />2 relating to cities of Circle Pines and Lino Lakes; <br />• 3 permitting cities to determine the size of Circle <br />4 Pines utilities commission. <br />• <br />5 <br />090 <br />6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />7 Section 1. [CIRCLE PINES UTILITIES COMMISSION.] <br />8 Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 412.341 <br />9 relating to the number of members that may be appointed to a <br />10 utilities commission, the cities of Circle Pines and Lino Lakes <br />11 may determine, by joint resolution, the number of members to <br />12 serve on the Circle Pines utilities commission. Their terms <br />13 must be as provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 412.341 and, <br />14 so far as possible, staggered so that an equal number expire in <br />15 each year. <br />16 Sec. 2. [LOCAL APPROVAL.] <br />:7 Section 1 is effective the day after compliance with <br />18 Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivizicn 3, exc€pt that <br />9 <br />approval must :,e certified by Joint resolution, by the governing <br />20 bodies of the cities of Circle Pines and Lino Lakes. <br />1 <br />
