• <br />RESOLUTION #38 - 86 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE INSTALLATION OF A FREEWAY INTERCHANGE AT THE <br />CNTERSECTION OF COUNTY /STATE AID HIGHWAY 14, AND INTERSTATE 35W. <br />WHEREAS: <br />In 1974 Anoka County acquired approximately 2,500 acres within <br />the City of Lino Lakes for the purpose of establishing a re- <br />gional park and <br />WHEREAS: Anoka County has annually received Metropolitan Council funds <br />for the development for this Regional Park System and <br />WHEREAS: With these funds Anoka County has established within the Rice <br />Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park picnic, camping areas, hiking <br />trail systems, swimming beach area, access roads, boat access <br />i:nd a golf course, and <br />WHEREAS: These facilities are part of a regional sysem and draw on the <br />Minneapolis /St. Paul Region for users and <br />S WHEREAS: During the planning stages of this facility, Anoka County had <br />foreseen the need for an interchange at CSAH 14 and 35W to <br />enable users from the metropolitan area easy access to said <br />facility. <br />Now therefore be it resolved that the Lino Lakes City Council requests Anoka <br />County to take the appropriate action to coordinate the upgrading of CSAH 14 <br />to include an interchange at the afore mentioned intersection, thereby pro- <br />viding access to the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park. <br />kdopted by the City Council of Lino Lakes this 8th day of September <br />1986. <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />Marilyn G.'
