CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 12 -09
RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUMMARY OF
ORDINANCE NO. 01 -12 FOR PUBLICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the first and second reading of Ordinance
No. 01 -12, amending Sections 1, 7, and 8 of the Zoning Ordinance regarding Beverage
Production and Bottling Facilities, Brewpubs, and Brewer's Taprooms; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1 -12 is lengthy and MN Statute 412.191 provides for a city
to publish a summary of an ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the summary clearly informs the public of
the intent and effect of the ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a full
printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council approves the summary
in Attachment A for publication according to state law and the City Charter.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of January 2012.

Member Roeser and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:

CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 01 -12
AN ORDINANCE amending the Zoning Ordinance sections regulating Beverage
Production and Bottling, Brewer's Taprooms, and Brew Pubs.
The purpose of amending these sections of the Zoning Ordinance is to clarify the
regulations regarding the production and bottling of alcoholic beverages and uses that
are customarily associated with such activities.
Section 1.Subdivision 2.B of the Zoning Ordinance will include definitions for the
terms `Beverage Production and Bottling', `Brewer Taproom', and `Brew Pub'.
Section 7 of the Zoning Ordinance will be modified to include the use of Brew
Pub in the Limited and General Business zoning districts.
Section 8 of the Zoning Ordinance will be modified to include the uses Beverage
Production and Bottling and associated uses of Brewer Taproom, Liquor Sales,
and Outdoor Dining and Seating in the Light and General Industrial zoning
districts.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council on January 23rd, 2012.
