• CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 12 -31 APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION OF COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 14 (MAIN STREET) AND COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 23 (LAKE DRIVE) WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes and the County of Anoka agree it is in the best interest of the traveling public to reconstruct the intersection of County State Aid Highway 14 (Main Street) and County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive); and WHEREAS, the City has prepared preliminary design plans for the reconstruction of the intersection of County State Aid Highway 14 (Main Street) and County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive); in accordance with Anoka County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation standards to a staff approved layout conditions; and WHEREAS, Anoka County has jurisdiction over County State Aid Highway 14 and County State Aid Highway 23; and WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is in their best interest that the cost of said project be shared; and WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 471.59 authorizes political subdivisions of the state to enter into joint powers agreements for the joint exercise of powers common to each. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota: 2. That the Joint Powers Agreement with Anoka County to reconstruct the intersection of County State Aid Highway 14 (Main Street) and County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive); is hereby approved and authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign the Agreement. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 26 th lay of March 2012.
