Council Member R oese r introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12-37 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />AUTHORIZING ADVERSTISEMENT FOR BIDS — 2012 OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the 2012 Overlay Project <br />and has presented such plans and specifications to the City Council for approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file at City Hall, are hereby approved. The <br />City Engineer is directed to advertise for bids, provide construction observation, and close out the <br />project once it is complete, and shall be paid by the hour in an amount not to exceed $11,600. <br />The City clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in Finance and <br />Commerce an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved <br />plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for two weeks, shall specify the <br />work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk, at which time they will be <br />• publicly opened at the City Hall by the City Clerk and Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be <br />considered by the Council at 6:30 p.m. on June 11, 2012, in the Council chambers of the City Hall. <br />Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br />opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility.
