• <br />• <br />• <br />Council Member Roeser introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12-46 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, <br />2012 MILL AND OVERLAY IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2012 Mill and <br />Overlay Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the <br />following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of bid <br />North Metro Asphalt & Contracting <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />Knife River Corporation <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$183,741.58 <br />$184,245.17 <br />$188,925.40 <br />$190,386.80 <br />$210,829.00 <br />Engineer's Estimate $201,582.50 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that North Metro Asphalt & Contracting is the lowest responsible <br />bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with North <br />Metro Asphalt & Contracting, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of <br />the 2012 Mill and Overlay Improvements according to the plans and specifications <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />
