Council Member Rafferty introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12 -47 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, <br />2012 SEAL COATING IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2012 Seal Coating <br />Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Pearson Bros., Inc. <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation (ASTECH) <br />Allied Blacktop Company <br />Engineer' s Estimate <br />Amount of bid <br />$255,999.75 <br />$271,681.25 <br />$276,098.88 <br />$263,781.25 <br />• AND WHEREAS, it appears that Pearson Bros., Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Pearson Bros., Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2012 <br />Seal Coating Improvements according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />
