• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12 -95 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND <br />AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />LAKE/MAIN & BIRCH/WARE INTERSECTION SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Lino Lakes <br />Regional Trail Improvement project, bids were received March 15, 2007, opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Total Bid <br />1 <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />$1,693,428.16 <br />2 <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$ 1,789,026.86 <br />3 <br />Forest Lake Contracting <br />$1,808,282.61 <br />4 <br />Midwest Asphalt <br />$1,831,651.39 <br />5 <br />Knife River <br />$1,907,865.09 <br />6 <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />$1,917,487.87 <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />$1,773,200.30 <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc., of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest <br />responsible bidder <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Valley <br />Paving, Inc., of Shakopee, Minnesota in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the <br />construction of the Lake/Main and Birch/Ware Intersection Signal Improvements in the <br />amount of-$1,693,428.16, according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2012. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />0 ' Donnell and was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote being <br />
