• CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 12 -95 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT LAKE/MAIN & BIRCH/WARE INTERSECTION SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Lino Lakes Regional Trail Improvement project, bids were received March 15, 2007, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Bid 1 Valley Paving, Inc. $1,693,428.16 2 North Valley, Inc. $ 1,789,026.86 3 Forest Lake Contracting $1,808,282.61 4 Midwest Asphalt $1,831,651.39 5 Knife River $1,907,865.09 6 Hardrives, Inc. $1,917,487.87 Engineer's Estimate $1,773,200.30 and WHEREAS, it appears that Valley Paving, Inc., of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Valley Paving, Inc., of Shakopee, Minnesota in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Lake/Main and Birch/Ware Intersection Signal Improvements in the amount of-$1,693,428.16, according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2012.
