Wedel, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: November 13, 2012 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 12 -112, Approving Final Pay Request for the 2012 <br />Trail Sealcoat Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND <br />At the June 25, 2012 meeting, City Council awarded the contract for the trail seal coating project to <br />Professional Asphalt Services, Inc. <br />The seal coating has been completed and the contractor is requesting fmal payment in the amount of <br />$21,096.00. A copy of the fmal invoice is attached. The contractor has satisfactorily completed all <br />work and has provided all necessary documentation. <br />The original contract amount was for $22,935. The fmal payment is lower than the original <br />contract amount by $1,839 due to a portion of the project being removed from the contract. The <br />trail along Birch Street near the intersection of Ware Road was removed from the contract due to <br />that section of trail being removed as part of the Birch Street and Ware Road signal project. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 12 -112 Accepting Quotes and Awarding a Construction <br />Contract for the 2012 Trail Sealcoat Project. <br />
