• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />INTRODUCTION <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />January 28, 2013 <br />Consider Resolution 13 -14, Approving <br />Off -Sale Intoxicating Liquor and Tobacco <br />License for Metro Wine and Spirits, LLC <br />3/5 <br />Metro Wine and Spirits, LLC is proposing to open an off -sale intoxicating liquor store to <br />be located at 6013 Hodgson Road, Lino Lakes. Metro Wine and spirits, LLC has <br />submitted an application to the city requesting an On -Sale Liquor and Tobacco License. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The license applications have been reviewed by city staff and fees have been paid. The <br />Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted the required background investigation on the <br />members of the corporation and reports no information that would prevent issuance of a <br />liquor license. <br />In accordance with the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, Section 701 relating to Liquor <br />Licensing, the application requires approval by the City Council. The code also requires <br />that opportunity shall be given to any person to be heard for or against the granting of the <br />license. A representative of Metro Wine and Spirits, LLC will be present at the council <br />meeting. <br />If local approval is granted, the application for an off -sale license will be forwarded to the <br />Minnesota Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division for review and the applicant is <br />aware that approval is subject to all the provisions and conditions of the laws of the city, <br />state and federal government. <br />RECOMMENDATION, <br />Approve Resolution No. 13 -14, Approving an Off -Sale Liquor and Tobacco License for <br />Metro Wine and Spirits, LLC. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Resolution No. 13 -14 <br />
