• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13 -83 <br />AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT AND TEMPORARY LIQUOR <br />LICENSE FOR AN OUTDOOR PICNIC EVENT AT AMERICAN LEGION POST <br />566 ON AUGUST 16 and 17, 2013. <br />WHERAS, the adjutant of American Legion Post 566 has submitted an application for a <br />special event permit and a 1 to 4 day temporary liquor license in conjunction with an event <br />planned for August 16 and 17, 2013; and <br />WHERAS, the event plans includes outdoor barbeque and beverages; and <br />WHERAS, as part of the event the Post would like to allow consumption of alcoholic <br />beverages in a fenced area outside of but contiguous to their building; and <br />WHERAS, the Post has indicated that all patrons or members attending the event will receive <br />a proper identification check to ensure no underage alcohol service will occur; and <br />WHERAS, the Centennial Fire District Chief has reviewed the plans for the event, that <br />includes erecting a canopy, has provided conditions for the permit and will inspect the area <br />for safety as the site is assembled; and <br />WHERAS, the Police Department has reviewed the application and event plans; and <br />WHERAS, proof of general and liquor liability insurance has been submitted by the Post; and <br />WHERAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires that this type of <br />temporary liquor application be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before <br />submitting for approval to the Liquor Control Board; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota: <br />That the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit and grants local approval <br />of a 1 -4 day temporary liquor license to American Legion Post 566 for a special event on <br />August 16 and 17, 2013, with the conditions attached hereto. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of July, 2013. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon vote <br />being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Rafferty, Stoesz, Roeser, O'Donnell, Reinert <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />
