• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13 -107 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT WEED <br />ABATEMENT CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED WITH THE 2013 PROPERTY TAXES <br />PAYABLE IN 2014 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 904, any weeds or grass growing upon any lot <br />or parcel of land in the City of Lino Lakes to a greater height than eight (8 "), or which have gone or <br />about to go to seed are declared to be a nuisance; and <br />WHEREAS, certain property owners in noncompliance with such code requirements were <br />notified and provided the opportunity to comply with such provisions; and <br />WHEREAS, upon failure of the property owner to comply with the provisions of said notice, <br />the City Weed Inspector ordered the abatement of such nuisance, in accordance with the City Code <br />Section 904, and charged the property owner thereof for expenses incurred by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, certain properties are delinquent in the payment of such charges; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has prepared a list of properties with delinquent charges to be <br />certified to the Anoka County Auditor for collection with the 2013 property taxes, payable in 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of such certification was mailed to affected property owners; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has met to consider the certification of such delinquent charges; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that <br />the Clerk is hereby authorized to certify the delinquent charges attached hereto as Exhibit "A" to <br />the Anoka County Auditor to be collected with the 2013 property taxes, payable in 2014 at an <br />interest rate of 8.00% per annum. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14 day of Oct <br />, 2013. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />O' Donnell and was duly seconded by Council Member Rafferty and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />O'Donnell, Rafferty, Roeser, Sto <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />AT 'ST: <br />u anne Bartell, C. ty Cle <br />
