AGENDA ITEM NO. 5B <br />• STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: January 8, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution 07 -03, Approving 2007 <br />Park Board Goals <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Park Board has recommended to the City Council the following goals for 2007: <br />Designate Dedicated Park Funds from the Pine Glen Development for Future <br />Development of Lino Park - Since Lino Park is located only 1/8 mile south of the Pine <br />Glen Development, it makes sense that Lino Park serve as the neighborhood park for <br />the new residents. Dedicated Parks Funds for Phase I ($72,625) was received June, <br />2006. Phase II funds ($76,775) are expected in 2007 or 2008. The Park Board and <br />staff expect to begin the re- master planning process for Lino Park in February. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />IIIIt is my recommendation that the City Council approves Resolution 07 -03, approving the <br />2007 Park Board Goals and authorizes staff to implement the goals as presented. <br />12/28/2006 <br />J: \Ricks Folder \Park Board \greensheet 2007 goals.doc <br />
